Mario Cristobal, the University of Miamis associate head coach and tight ends coach, on Friday interviewed for the University of Alabamas offensive line coaching position, according to a source.
Cristobal, who declined to comment Friday, was hired by UM on Jan. 10 after being fired as head coach at FIU. He previously played and coached at UM.
Cristobal made UM coach Al Golden aware of the interview, one of the sources said.
The Alabama offensive line position on Nick Sabans staff was previously held by former UM offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, who left recently to join Chip Kellys staff with the Philadelphia Eagles.
