Consider investment with stadium vote

 

Re the Feb. 12 article, Referendum or not, still a bad deal: The referendum on the Dolphins Stadium renovation is a great idea. And, Mike Dee provided us with some great practical advice when he said, “Just because somebody is wealthy enough doesn’t mean he should invest money in a way that is unwise.”

I am not wealthy, but I’m certainly going to follow this great advice from someone who is wealthy and vote to not “invest money in a way that is unwise.”

    Re the June 14 story City to add 15 beds at shelters: Over the last several weeks our community has watched several Miami commissioners’ efforts to deal with the homeless population in and around the downtown urban core.

    There are, of course, many reasons to be grateful that President Obama defeated Sen. John McCain in 2008. But perhaps Syria is the biggest reason.

  • Team’s conduct unbecoming

    Shame on the Miami Heat players, team management and the NBA for the deportment of the Heat players during the playing of the National Anthem before Game 4. Their disrespect was reprehensible and warrants immediate action by the league office. Not one of them rendered appropriate honor to our nation. They looked like a bunch of thugs.
