A stretch of Krome Avenue was closed during morning rush hour Wednesday morning after a head-on collision between a semi-tractor trailer and a small passenger vehicle.
The driver of the small vehicle was killed. The truck driver was not injured.
The two vehicles crashed just before 6 a.m., in the northbound lane of Krome just north of Kendall Drive.
Florida Highway Patrol is still on the scene investigating. Traffic was disrupted on Krome from Southwest Eighth Street to Kendall Drive.
