Jazz will fill the air at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park on Sunday

The Friends of Birch State Park will present an afternoon of jazz at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday.

The Mari Bell Trio will play New Orleans and Latin jazz from noon to 2 p.m. at park pavilions one and two.

Attendees can bring snacks and drinks for a picnic lunch.

Bell is the creator and director of JazzSLAM, an educational program that teaches children about math, social studies and language arts through interactive jazz presentations.

Admission to the jazz brunch is $2.

Entry fees at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, 3109 E. Sunrise Blvd., are $4 for a vehicle with one person and $6 for a vehicle with two or more.
