One has only to view last weekend’s scene in New England — including New York and New Jersey — to see what might have been, had this high-stakes event been held in New Jersey, as is planned for next year. Four days after the Super Bowl, a blizzard hit. If this kind of weather incident and the potential for something similar happening next year, doesn’t make the case for Miami hosting this all-important event here, what could possibly influence the NFL commissioner and Super Bowl committee? At least we wouldn’t have to shovel the driveway to the stadium!
