There’s no honor in remaining silent if you have witnessed a crime, or have information that can help the police. Seeing the pain and anguish of families who have lost a loved one in a shooting should be a reminder that you could be next. The culture of not telling, and saying you saw nothing has to change.
There are too many decent families suffering at the hands of these hoodlums. The citizens of Miami Gardens need to retake their city, and police and all authorities should ensure that witnesses feel safe to speak up.
Unless they can believe that there will be no retaliation, Miami Gardens will degenerate into the days of the Wild West.
