Florida: Registration opens for ‘Ding’ Darling & Doc Ford’s Tarpon Tournament

Time to drop ’em a line

Sanibel Island’s second annual “Ding” Darling & Doc Ford’s Tarpon Tournament doesn’t get going until May 4, but if you think you can land a few whoppers, it’s time to get your registration in. The entry fee is $500 per boat of up to four anglers, and participation is limited to 50 boats. New this year: The Silver King for “Ding” After-Party will be open to the public with limited tickets available at $50. Proceeds benefit wildlife and conservation education at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge.
