No one mentioned that Miami may not get to host any more Super Bowls because it rained on the game once when it was held in Miami. (It never rains on a football game in regular season?) But, we never have had a 34-minute delay in televising a game held in Miami. (Nor has anyone else.)
So which is more difficult to overcome: 34 minutes of not being able to play because there isn’t enough light to televise the game or rain? (Not to mention that field did not become muddy or torn up.)
I have an opinion about taxpayers paying for a canopy over Joe Robbie Stadium but it becomes a full-page rant so I will not say what I think.
