A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after an early-morning shooting Monday in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Friends and family gathered in the 4100 block of Northwest 22nd Court Monday morning after they say Corey Graham was shot and killed and his girlfriend was wounded. The couple were sitting inside a gray Volkswagen sedan when they were shot, family said.

Barbara Graham, who identified herself as the victim’s mother, was escorted by police away from the scene.

Miami-Dade Police spokesman Detective Javier Baez said police were still investigating at the site of the shooting.

Police did not confirm the victim’s names.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
