There are differences between the Dolphins request and that of the Marlins.
The Dolphins stadium is also used by the University of Miami and The Orange Bowl Committee, two important organizations in our community.
I wouldn’t necessarily object to a loan of public funds, or even the requested tax concessions — and all funds advanced should have to be repaid should the team be sold.
The stadium should also be permanently renamed “Miami’s Orange Bowl.” Any cost associated with buying our Sun Life’s naming arrangement should be borne by the Dolphins.
The Marlins arrangement that helped an undeserving owner and invisible fans is beyond absurd.
