An apple a day takes toll on star

For Ashton Kutcher preparing to play Apple co-founder Steve Jobs meant chowing down on — fittingly — apples.

The jOBS star, 34, followed a fruit-only diet to get into character as the late visionary for the biopic.

But channeling Jobs’ reported diet took a toll on Kutcher’s health: Two days before filming began, he was admitted to a hospital for pancreas problems, according to USA Today.

Jobs died in October 2011 after battling pancreatic cancer, a fact not lost on the actor.

It’s over for Rupert Sanders and Liberty Ross.

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress, 34, filed for divorce Friday from her director-husband Sanders, 41, in Los Angeles on Friday, People.com reports.

Both are seeking joint custody of their two kids, 5 and 7, TMZ says. Ross also asks for spousal support.

News of the filing comes about six months after Sanders’ highly publicized cheating scandal with Huntsman’s star, Kristen Stewart.

Stewart has since patched things up with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, whom she was dating during the fling.
