Thank you for the two Jan. 20 articles: State’s $20M plot twist and Gun makers feast on Fla. tax breaks. It tells a big story about Rick Scott’s administration and the priorities for using citizens’ tax money. As a 54-year resident, I’ve never seen such arrogance. These stories were a rude and pathetic awakening.
It would be helpful for The Herald to follow up on both stories and list the names of the elected officials who voted for the incentives to hand out $20 million for a now bankrupt movie studio that the governor is trying to recoup with more tax money. We also need to see a list of elected officials who voted to allow tax breaks to gun makers while voting to cut funds for mental health facilities.
