Meet the judges: High School Track

 

Arden M. Karson is a senior vice president for Related Group. Karson brings more than 20 years of multifaceted real estate experience to the company, with an emphasis on acquisitions, asset management, development, property management, sales/leasing and finance. Before joining the Related Group, Arden worked with Lennar/LNR, Advenir, CREC and Barrow Street Capital. Karson also co-founded the Miami startup Endlessly Organic, an organic produce buying club, and serves on the South Florida Advisory Board of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

Rocki Rockingham is the vice president of community relations and communications for Jarden Consumer Solutions in Boca Raton, specializing in corporate communications, public relations and community affairs. With over 20 years’ experience in domestic and international business, she serves on numerous boards, including the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce; the West Boca Medical Center; NFTE South Florida; and the Literacy Coalition for the Palm Beaches.

Cori Rice is founder and president of H+K SAMCOR of Miami, which offers clients senior-level communications counseling. Previously, Rice held the position of vice president, worldwide communications for Burger King Corp., the $8 billion fast-food industry giant. She is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, FIU Council of 100, International Women’s Forum and the University of Pennsylvania Trustee’s Council of Penn Women.

Jason Wiesenfeld is a vice president in the Investment Management Division and a private wealth advisor for Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 after practicing law at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York City. While at Stroock, Wiesenfe specialized in corporate and securities law, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, derivative transactions and the drafting of SEC documents. Wiesenfe serves on the NFTE South Florida advisory board.

Scott Zdanis is the founder of Merchant Warehouse. He has founded and built a number of entrepreneurial businesses since a very young age. His most recent venture has changed the industry of processing electronic payments with reduced costs and increased flexibility for businesses. Zdanis believes a career as an entrepreneur can provide an exceptional understanding for the real world as well as provide the ultimate opportunity for creativity, causing positive change, and realizing personal and financial freedom.
