Re the Jan. 20 column, Dolphins proposed deal is corporate welfare: Undoubtedly the argument will go on for a while. There’s always hope for the county to benefit, but past results say that the citizens of Miami-Dade are hurt and that the promoters make big bucks.
The mayor and County Commission should not consider any action unless Stephen Ross agrees to give Miami-Dade 25 percent of the appreciation in the value of the Dolphins from today to its sale. Protect the future today.
