Concerned citizen helps Hollywood

Re the Jan. 20 story, Crappy’ remark gets member booted: My empathy goes out to Bruce Epperson, a concerned citizen on the Hollywood Planning and Development Board who called a spade a spade. Being in the minority, however, finds him booted from the board. So much for the First Amendment and speaking your mind. If you aren’t on board with Mayor Bober, who really thinks we believe his statement that Epperson was booted from the board because he felt disrespected and Epperson was rude and nasty instead of plain disagreeing with the mayor, then he truly believes enough voters are dumb enough to keep voting his way. He should remember how and why he got elected in the first place.

The city of Hollywood needs more citizens like Epperson. It’s a sad state of affairs we are in these days, in all levels of government.
