Joe Harris scored 17 points to lead the Virginia Cavaliers to a 56-36 victory over the Florida State Seminoles in an Atlantic Coast Conference clash at John Paul Jones Arena.

Akil Mitchell added 13 points for the Cavaliers (12-5, 2-2 ACC), who had lost their previous two games.

Virginia shot well in the first half, hitting on 50 percent of its field goal attempts, including 7-of-9 from beyond the 3-point arc, as it used a 22-4 run late in the frame to take a 33-15 lead into the break.

Florida State never got closer than 14 points of the lead in the second half as Virginia cruised to the 20-point win.

The Cavaliers outrebounded the Seminoles, 30-22. FSU finished the contest just 1-of-15 from 3-point distance.
