Applications open for Head Start services

Starting Tuesday, the Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department will accept applications for Head Start and Early Head Start services for 2013-2014.

Expectant mothers and parents of children ages 2 months to 3 years can apply for Early Head Start services and parents of children ages 3 to 5 can apply for Head Start services. The deadline to apply for both programs is April 30.

Head Start is a federally funded childhood development program that offers health and mental health services, education, assistance with disabilities and social services to low-income families.
