Miami-Dade County Public School coaches do an unbelievable job making an impact on the kids of this community. Recently I was a guest at a banquet, attended by over 230 people, to honor a retired coach. People came from all over the country for the event. Coaches work tirelessly for a small supplement, but the money means nothing to most of them. Their aim is to help young people.
After retiring from coaching, I’ve been to many different high school sporting events, and I cannot tell you how impressed I am by the job these coaches do. I was part of this fraternity for 27 years, and it was an honor to have been called “coach.”
