The Florida Commission on Ethics is considering complaints into board members and the executive director of the Homestead Housing Authority.

According to a letter from the state commission, Executive Director Oscar Hentschel, and board members Audelia Martinez, Martha Torres, David Berrones and Arturo de Leon are the subjects of complaints filed by board member Lois Jones.

De Leon declined to comment Friday. Hentschel and the other board members did not respond to requests for comment. Neither did Scott A. Bassman or Alejandro Perez, the attorneys who, according to the letter, are representing the housing authority officials.

A spokeswoman at the state ethics commission said she could not disclose the nature of the complaints and Jones declined to comment.

The complaints will go to a probable cause hearing in March, meaning that they have already gone through a preliminary investigation.
