The Jan. 13 coverage of Aaron Willis, Shot teen fights to walk again, about the teen shot in Wynwood while riding his bicycle home last month, leaving him partially paralyzed, is a true tale of courage.
I hope his amazing positive attitude will continue to help him in his recovery.
While our community increasingly appreciates the artistic and cultural development of Wynwood, it is still plagued by so much violent crime. We must display a parallel passion for the eradication of poverty and violence as we do for the art and beauty of Wynwood.
Great community organizations such as the Mourning Family Foundation are making a difference. They need our help.
