Jason Taylor fan feels his pain

 

Re the Jan. 13 article, Taylor’s pain shows NFL’s world of hurt: Dan Le Batard’s article brought tears to my eyes.

I’ve been a long-time fan of Jason Taylor. When the pain he went through was described, I could feel the pain of the shots in his foot. The one and only time I ever went to a podiatrist and was given a shot into one toe and screamed, I said he’d never see me again. Having a shot in the heel makes me shiver to think of the pain. He played so well even though going through all that pain.

That is a football player’s life and joy, and they’ll do anything to stay in the game. Jason, we miss you.

  • Plant thief at Fairchild Gardens

    I was recently at Fairchild Gardens and after much consideration, purchased two lovely specimens from the Flowering Tree Society’s plant sale. A very nice helper offered to take my plants to the front entrance. I could have carried them with my friend Jim, but she was adorable and I told her I’d drive my car around. When I got there, her face was red and she was on the verge of tears.
