A robber was shot and killed by his target in North Miami-Dade late Monday.

According to Miami-Dade Police, two men apparently broke into an occupied home at 850 NE 209th Ter. just after 11 p.m. Monday. The 22-year-old intruder was killed after exchanging gunfire with a man inside the house.

The second intruder escaped, police said.

Police have not identified the man who was killed, or the 19-year-old who shot him.

Miami-Dade police are also investigating an unrelated drive-by shooting that killed a man on Northeast 90th Street near Northeast Second Avenue in El Portal around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. Police have not released the name of the 27-year-old shooting victim.
