Russell Crowe & Dita von Teese: Odd couple du jour

Russell Crowe and ... Dita von Teese? Could it be?

The New York Post reports that the Les Miserables star, 48, had a couples massage with the burlesque star, 40, last month at the Four Seasons in NYC.

Crowe and Von Teese have been flirting over Twitter in recent months, but the Oscar winner has maintained he wants to reunite with his estranged wife of nine years, Danielle Spencer, and their two kids. After the massage story broke, the Broken City star Tweeted: “Dita Von Teese is brave, smart, sweet and elegant...Friends, not lovers.” He has since deleted the post.

Latest saga

Here we go again. Lindsay Lohan pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three misdemeanor charges related to a car crash and was ordered to appear in court for a hearing later this month. Her plea was entered by her attorney Shawn Holley, who declined to comment after the hearing. Lohan is charged with lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing police from performing their duties.

What went wrong

Britney Spears’ rep is opening up about his client’s split from agent Jason Trawick. Jeff Raymond told People that the decision to end the engagement was mutual: “As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends.”

People.com quotes a source close to couple: “Britney had a lot of issues with Jason doing his own thing — in business and seeing his friends. In her perfect world he would have been home with her 24-seven.” Trawick has since resigned as her co-conservator.

New blood

You can’t keep a good cougar down. Demi Moore had a cozy dinner out with L.A. restaurateur/LiLo’s ex, Harry Morton, reports The Daily Mirror. Morton’s father Peter founded the Hard Rock Cafe chain. A source told the paper that it’s not serious yet with the 31-year-old.

Rock on

Jennie Garth has apparently bounced back from her divorce from Peter Facinelli with — naturally — a musician. Her new guy is Jeremy Salken, the drummer for Big Gigantic.

    Amanda Bynes: hot mess extraordinaire

The term “hot mess” doesn’t come close to describing Amanda Bynes. The troubled actress appeared disheveled in a long blond wig and sweats Friday in a criminal court where she was charged with reckless endangerment. She was also charged with attempted tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors.
