Three executives from the Florida Bankers Association will be traveling to Tanzania later this month to participate in a special training program paid for by the Financial Services Volunteer Corps.
The program’s mission is to assess the banking associations of five African countries — Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda — and assist with their development, the Florida Bankers Association said.
The association’s President and Chief Executive Alex Sanchez, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Pamela Ricco and Executive Vice President and Director of Government Affairs Anthony DiMarco will spend 10 days in Africa.
Financial Services Volunteer Corps is an organization based in New York that focuses ion combating money laundering and financial crimes, strengthening commercial banking systems, building capital markets and developing central bank capabilities.
