Curious to know what industries generated the highest number of complaints from Miami-Dade consumers?
The Consumer Protection Mediation Center of the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources recently released its Top 10 complaint list for 2012.
Last year, the county’s Consumer Protection Mediation Center recovered more than $1 million in reimbursements for consumers.
Common consumer grievances were related to monetary losses or dissatisfaction with products or services. For the sixth year in a row, motor vehicle repair complaints ranked first on the list, totaling 696 complaints — but saw a 29 percent decrease from 2011. Second on the list was for-hire transportation followed by towing, automotive sales, and mail-order purchases.
