The Jan. 2 letter, One fewer rifle, is poignant and profound on several levels all of which confirm the point that the goal of any governmental panel or gun violence group isn’t to actually stop slaughter, but rather to eliminate private legal ownership of firearms.
First, a thank you to the gentleman that turned in his assault rifle because there are some people who should not own firearms.
There are millions of firearms legally owned by Americans. All have met a higher standard to exercise this right. There should be no more burdens or restrictions placed on firearm owners. Firearm restrictions result in higher crime rates as evidenced by statistics from England and Australia.
