Special to The Miami Herald

Archbishop Carroll coach Raviel Maisonet will head the Private team while Miami Norland coach Daryle Heidelburg will lead the way for the Public team. Halftime will feature a Battle of the Bands event between American High School and Mater Academy.

“It was a tremendous game last year, and we’re looking for an even better one this year,” game organizer Mario Smith said. “We’re extremely excited to host an All-Star game that not only allows players, parents and fans alike to experience an action-packed and competitive contest between some of South Florida’s top public and private schools, but incorporates time in the schedule for athletes to go out and make a difference in the lives of others, truly making this a community-wide event.”

Game tickets are $5 for high school students with a valid ID and $10 for general admission (children under 3 are admitted free). For more information, contact Smith or Claudienne Hibert at 305-740-2822 or visit www.trusportsfoundation.org.
