Two people were taken to a local hospital Tuesday night after a vehicle crashed into a West Miami-Dade home, according to authorities.

The crash happened shortly after 5:15 p.m. The driver of a silver SUV somehow lost control and plowed through the front of a house near Northwest 84th Court and Park Boulevard, Miami-Dade police said. The SUV also hit a man inside the home, police said.

The driver and the man inside the home were hurt, police said, and both were taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their names were not released Tuesday night.

Nobody else was hurt.

Miami-Dade police are investigating what caused the man to close control and if it was a medical condition or something else that impaired him.
