Motorcyclist dies in crash on Bird Road

A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning after he ran into another vehicle and his bike burst into flames, according to Miami-Dade police.

The crash closed lanes on Bird Road and Southwest 137th Ave. in West Miami-Dade during the morning rush.

The male motorcyclist was traveling west on Bird at about 5:45 a.m. when he crashed into the car in front, according to a police report.

He died on the street. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
