Improving Santana Garrett signs with Women of Wrestling

Team Vision Dojo student Santana Garrett has signed with the returning Women of Wrestling (WOW), based in Los Angeles. Santana is a rising young talent in the business -- impressive in just three years.

Santana began her training in 2009 in St. Louis where her father, Keny Garrett, relocated his (Florida) High Voltage Wrestling company. Shortly after, Santana returned home to Central Florida where she continued her training at the Team Vision Dojo in Orlando under the direction of Chasyn Rance and legends Scott Hall and Larry Zbyszko. With their help, Santana was quickly utilized in TNA Wrestling as a valet but never wrestled in the Knockouts Division as she was still learning the craft.

Santana worked the Florida indie circuit and abroad, honing her wrestling skills. She became a women's champ in Florida and a favorite in (Missouri) World Legion Wrestling, run by the legendary Harley Race.

Social media also helped put Santana on the wrestling map.

She not only competes in singles action but also tag matches -- women and intergender. She had a memorable intergender tag match, teaming with Sean X-Pac Waltman for I Believe in Wrestling on June 12, 2010. Hall, one of her biggest fans, currently manages her in Central Florida.

A tough combatant, Santana had her fair share of singles bouts with male competitors. On the women’s scene, Santana feuds with former TNA wrestler Christina Von Eerie and young talent Leva Bates.

In mid-2012, Shine Wrestling, a new women’s wrestling company in Florida, featured Santana against Sara Del Rey, who is currently working with WWE. Santana also wrestled Tina San Antonio, and she continues to shine in the company.

In October, Santana made her (Chicago) SHIMMER debut on Volume 50. She also competed on Volume 51. Santana made an impression with fans in matches with Shazza McKenzie and Melanie Cruise.

Santana started talking with WOW for its relaunch. After negotiations (including still competing for SHINE and SHIMMER), Santana officially signed with WOW’s David McLane on Dec. 23.

The bright, beautiful and capable Santana continues to train hard in the ring and gym as well as helping other female students at the Team Vision Dojo in Orlando.
