Paula Abdul’s meat and greet

lank@aol.com

Paula Abdul and five friends were seen dining al fresco Friday night at Meat Market. Overheard was one young fan, 10-year-old Aidan Singer, telling Abdul he was sad she left The X Factor, to which she replied “Aww, really? Come give me a hug.” Also there: Paul Shaffer and his wife. On Saturday night, former Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova had dinner with her family while The Real Housewives of New York City’s Aviva Drescher did the same with her family.

Drake was seen Sunday afternoon, lounging around the Soho Beach House with a big entourage. On Sunday night he was at Prime 112 with that same entourage, as were Nicky and Paris Hilton along with Paris’s boyfriend, Finnish/Spanish model River Viiperi and, separately, DJ Tiesto.

Paris and Viiperi were also seen Sunday on the rooftop of The Perry South Beach but not for long. Hilton was overheard saying it was “too cold and windy for her to stick around for very long,” says our spy.

Miami Beach resident Christian Slater may have expressed a bit of disappointment when the paparazzi he thought were trailing him near the CVS were on the hunt for the Kardashians, but an even bigger buzzkill may be the fact that, according to the Huffington Post, his 2012 horror flick Playback earned the dubious honor of being the year’s worst movie. Playback only played on theater for a week in March and earned $264, or, approximately 33 tickets sold.

Pauly Shore was spotted Friday night at The Forge, enjoying a casual dinner with longtime friend and the restaurant’s owner, Shareef Malnik. There on Saturday, former Miami Heat Small Forward Jamal “Monster Mash” Mashburn and rapper Clifford "T.I." Harris were spotted entering the restaurant just after 5 p.m. It is rumored that the two had a business meeting at the bar, which opened early at their request. While they were in the building their two black Cadillac Escalades remained parked in front, manned by T.I.’s bodyguards. The vehicles and the security were a cause of many passersby to slow almost to a halt. One lady and her child even entered the restaurant, approached the duo and were able to have TI pose with the boy for a photo.

On Sunday night, Gabourey Sidibe was seen at The Forge with a group of 10 friends.

Karina Smirnoff was seen breaking a sweat Sunday at Equinox South Beach, and lounging at the rooftop pool at the Catalina, where she was hosting a NY Eve party.
