I-95 north shut down after trooper involved accident



Traffic came to a stand still during the Friday night commute when a crash involving multiple vehicles including a Florida Highway Trooper shut down all the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Commercial Blvd.

The accident was reported at 5:02 p.m. according to F.H.P.

The FHP trooper involved in the accident was air lifted to Broward Health Medical Center and another driver involved was transported by ground to Broward Health North, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Keyla Concepcion. Both were trauma alerts.

According to FHP, they anticipate all northbound lanes to be shut down for hours as they investigate the scene.
