Isn’t it awkward the entities that stand for two of the things Americans seem to love the most, football and guns, are run by idiots who apparently believe their constituents are even more idiotic than they are?
The NRA’s leadership’s response to the Newtown massacre — “only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun,” which can be also explained as “every American loony is entitled to a shoot-out,” is simply beyond belief.
And so was the statement released by the National Football League back in October, justifying the infamous “Fail Mary pass” call in a Monday Night game in Seattle, while claiming substitute refs were “performing admirably,” a call that has absurdly compromised the integrity of this season.
Are we Americans brainwashed that we accept ludicrous performances like these while supporting incompetency with our money?
