Britney Spears’ dull-as-dishwater attitude on The X Factor may cost her a great gig, a source close to the show told UsWeekly.
The pop star joined the Fox competition as judge in May and has done little but say “amazing,” and lamely clap.
And she doesn’t come cheap. If producers ditch her $15 million contract, they can save some cash and hire a star who gives a hoot.
Another insider says Simon Cowell is heading the firing squad: “He wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney,” the source told the mag.
Spears has other issues. Radar Online reports Christopher Federline, brother of her ex hubby Kevin, filed court papers Dec. 18 seeking a restraining order against her. He claims Brit ripped off his credit card. He has also threatened to go public with the fact that he is the real father of Spears’ oldest son, Sean Preston. Say what?!
Titanic secret
Kate Winslet hopes No. 3 will be the charm. The actress has yet again tied the knot. This time with Richard Branson’s nephew, Ned Rocknroll, 34. According to British media reports, Winslet’s Titanic costar and BFF Leonardo DiCaprio gave away the bride in the small ceremony in NYC. The Oscar winner, 37, has been dating Rocknroll (his legal name) since fall 2011. They met while on Necker Island, owned by Branson, when a fire broke out and Winslet helped rescue Branson’s mother. Winslet’s exes include directors Sam Mendes and Jim Threapleton. Rocknroll, born Abel Smith, was married to heiress Eliza Pearson. Rocknroll works for Branson’s space initiative, Virgin Galatic, which sells space-travel packages costing up to $1 million.
