I have four holiday wishes:
That Congress will accept the mandate of 62 percent of the American voters who want persons making more than $250,000 to pay higher taxes.
That Social Security and Medicare not be changed from their present form. Many voters have expressed their desire to remove the cap on Social Security so those making more than $110,100 per year can contribute to the fund.
That the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) might embrace the single payer plan in order to save millions more dollars.
That our government establishes plans like the Works Progress Administration or the Civilian Conservation Corps as did President Roosevelt, to allow mentally and physically able-bodied people to work for the government financial assistance they needed and received.
