Three men, donning black clothing with hoods over their heads and bandanas covering their faces, stormed into a Hollywood convenience store early Monday, attacked the clerk and stole money, according to Hollywood Police.

The armed robbery happened about 2:50 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store at 3451 Sheridan St.

Police said one of the men forced the store clerk into the back office where he beat him up and fired a gun, but missed.

The clerk, whose name has not been released, suffered head and facial injuries and was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The men took the cash register drawer, but it was unknown how much money was in there.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hollywood Police Department at 954-967-4357 or 954-967-4411 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
