Looking for that last (and we mean last) minute gift? In need of a quick bite on the road while you head to your family dinner?
Relax — there are a handful of stores that are open on Christmas Day, though in some cases with more-limited hours than usual. You can buy electronics, toys or gift cards at your local Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy, or scarf down some Chicken McNuggets at McDonald’s (most, but not necessarily all, should be open).
Other stores open on the holiday include:
• Starbucks.
• Denny’s.
• 7-Eleven.
• IHOP.
Be prepared for longer lines (or slower restaurant service) at these locations — you’re not the only one searching for some place that’s open on Christmas! Employees at these stores (some of whom aren’t getting overtime pay) will appreciate your patience.
