The impact: With the Bills driving on their first possession, wide receiver Steve Johnson got stripped by Sean Smith at the Dolphins’ 17 and Reshad Jones recovered. Tight end Dorin Dickerson fumbled a 17-yard catch at the Dolphins’ 39 and Chris Clemons recovered. Ryan Fitzpatrick got stripped by Cameron Wake and Jones recovered at the Bills’ 29.

Who won: Dolphins

The impact: The Dolphins ran for almost as many yards (182) on Sunday as they had total yards in their Thursday night loss at Buffalo (184). Lamar Miller and Reggie Bush darted through sometimes gaping holes, especially on the left side behind guard Richie Incognito and tackle Jonathan Martin. Ryan Tannehill ran for 44 yards on six carries.

Dolphins secondary vs. Bills receivers

Who won: Dolphins

The impact: The Dolphins were down to starting cornerback Dimitri Patterson, whom they claimed off waivers from Cleveland on Tuesday. Instead of getting worked, the Dolphins held the Bills to 240 yards on 20-of-35 passing, and Reshad Jones sniffed out a quick throw on the goal line for an interception that sealed the victory.
