Shaquille O’Neal worked up an appetite while cheering on the Miami Heat last Saturday night when the team beat the Washington Wizards at the AmericanAirlines Arena. The basketball legend then moved on to Club Arkadia at the Fontainebleau hotel to celebrate the C by Courvoisier All Star Comedy Jam holiday party where he asked for chicken as entree during dinner, claiming he was on a diet. But Shaq quickly threw the diet out the window, also ordering a steak in addition to his chicken, which he also ate. Guests at the party later also saw him nibbling on stationed hors d’oeuvres but at least he stayed clear of Courvoisier, avoiding booze’s empty calories, sipping water instead.

Following the Miami Heat win on Tuesday night, rapper Flo Rida stayed at the stadium to party at Hyde American Airlines Arena. While popping champagne with a group of friends, the Heat fan and entertainer asked the manager if he could play his new, unheard single and then gave the DJ his iPhone so he could play the song. “The place went crazy as Flo Rida popped a bottle champagne to the new track,” says our source.

On Friday, Dwyane Wade surprised Hallandale Beach resident Welline Rose Lubin and her two young children, who, on Dec. 7 suffered an electrical fire in their apartment, with a home makeover. On Saturday, the Heat superstar will join 10 local families in need as they each go on a $1,000 shopping spree at Target in Midtown. The Wade’s World Foundation partnered with Neighbors for Neighbors and local churches to select the families.

Actor Tommy Davidson was seen having dinner Tuesday night at Villa Azur with promoter Tommy Pooch. According to our spy, Davidson was doing an uncanny Sammy Davis, Jr. impression. Incidentally, Davidson bought the rights to the 2008 biography Deconstructing Sammy in the hopes of bringing it to the big screen, he told CNN.

Interior designer Jonathan Adler was in town Wednesday signing copies of his new book, 100 Ways to Happy Chic Your Life, at his new Design District store. Also there: Adler’s husband and Barney’s Creative Ambassador at Large, Simon Doonan.

Singer/songwriter/producer The Dream and singer Kelly Rowland are still hanging around Miami long after they were first seen doing so with Beyonce and Jay Z during Art Basel. This past week, the two were spotted dining at Makoto. Sitting at the table next to them was Formula One racing legacy Michael Andretti and his wife/playmate Jodi Ann Paterson.
