The airline will start Saturday flights between Miami and both Martinique Aime Cesaire International Airport and Pointe-a-Pitre International Airport in Guadeloupe on April 6.

Earlier this week, American said it was adding service to Curitiba and Porto Alegre, both in Brazil, from Miami in late 2013.

Also Thursday, the airline said it would start daily service between Los Angeles and Raleigh-Durham International Airport on April 2 as well as new daily flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and George Bush Intercontinental in Houston.
