Parts of South Florida under dense fog advisory until 9 a.m.

 

Western portions of Broward and Miami-Dade counties are under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Visibility in some interior and rural areas is down to a quarter of a mile.

Driving is "extremely hazardous" on some western roads, according to the weather service. Roads primarily affected include Alligator Alley, Tamiami Trail and U.S. 27.

Problems spots include I-75 at U.S. 27 and State Road 836 at Southwest 137th Avenue.
