Taddeo-Goldstein drops out of race for state Dem chief

Miami-Dade’s new Democratic Party chairwoman, Annette Taddeo-Goldstein, dropped out of the race to lead the state party.

Taddeo-Goldstein is now endorsing one of the two remaining candidates, Allison Tant of Tallahassee.

Tant, who also earned the endorsement of Orange County’s Democratic chairman on Monday, faces Hillsborough County’s Democratic chair, Alan Clendenin.

The party election is on Jan. 26.

Meanwhile, Miami-Dade Republicans plan Tuesday night to pick either Nelson Diaz or Emiliano Antunez as chairman.
