The event, which will run from 6 to 11 p.m. at the park, One Young Circle, will include a performance from Spanish Flamenco singer Antonio Carmona, former lead singer of the group Ketama. It is free and open to the public.

Other attractions will include: a performance by Baila Flamenco dance school; flamenco music and dance exhibition by Juan Sobrino and Daniel Clocanas and a visit by The Fort Lauderdale Strikers soccer team to honor Spain’s 2010 World Cup championship squad.

Food-artist Montse Guillen of Barcelona’s Food Culture Museum will put together a Spanish market, which will bring the tastes of Spain to the park.

The event is part of Viva Florida 500, which celebrates the 500th anniversary of Ponce de León’s arrival on Florida’s East Coast in 1513.
