Charge commuters

I-95 in Miami-Dade and Broward counties is a driver’s nightmare. The roadway is full of potholes, uneven lanes, ridges and assorted bumps where attempts at repair were unsuccessful. Several times a week a small army of workers does overnight maintenance to the so called Lexus lanes. Is the DOT focusing only on the money making part of the roadway while ignoring the main line? I hope not. My 38-mile round-trip commute is a daily exercise in fear that I will blow a tire or, worse, lose control of my car and crash. If money isn’t available to repave I-95 then maybe the solution is — I can’t believe I’m suggesting this but here goes — make it a toll road from mile zero to the Palm Beach line. I wouldn’t mind a 50-cent or dollar toll if it means our collective safety.
