Trying to come up with a Hanukkah-worthy meal for eight nights isnt easy for busy people on the go. Thats where the Aroma Market & Catering comes in.
Even bubbehs were ordering potato latkes and brisket from the glatt kosher Cooper City venue, which offers dozens of prepared salads, vegan dishes, various meats, pastries and specialty items like gefilte fish and kasha varnishkas in its long display cases.
We were pleasantly surprised by the latkes, which tasted homemade when heated up at home. The brisket was flavorful and not too fatty, though we would have liked more gravy, especially since we used some of it for the kasha. They do a good job on their white fish salad, and sweet-and-sour meatballs filled in nicely as hors doeuvres.
You can also buy fresh produce, frozen foods, desserts like chocolate bapke and doughnuts right from the oven. And if youve been meaning to pick up a menorah, Aroma stocks that, too, along with candles, dreidels and candy for the kids. For anyone who keeps kosher, its a go-to place year-round.
