‘Jewish Spirituality’ lecture series to start Dec. 16

The celebration is coordinated by the Brownsville Neighborhood Association, headed by Everett Stewart, Sr., in conjunction with the Tenant Association. The event will also serve as a health fair for families and seniors, said Kenneth Kilpatrick, director of Residential Affairs and Safety at the Brownsville Transit Village Apartments.

It's free and open to the community.

‘Luau for the Lord’

A Luau for the Lord Praise Party, sponsored by Press Point Media Concepts, will be from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at Finnegan's River, 401 SW Third Ave.

The party will feature live entertainment by the Stylistic Steppers, a gospel conga line and DJ Smoove. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. For tickets and more information visit the organization on Facebook at Press Point Media Concepts, or call 305-281-1965(cq).

Christmas program

Wayside Baptist Church at 7701 SW 98th St., will have a free Christmas program, titled "The Ornament," at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Christmas musical

The Christmas musical "Emmanuel: Celebrating Heaven's Child," will be presented by the choir of Silver Palm United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, 15855 SW 248th St. in Redland.

Created by Dove Award winner Russell Mauldin, the 35-minute musical of the Bethlehem miracle is something for the entire family. Sandy Keffer, who also directs the South Dade Community Choir will direct.

It's free and open to the public.

‘Go Tell It’

Grace Lutheran Chancel Choir in Miami Springs will present the Christmas cantata "Go Tell It," in music and readings during the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

Grace Lutheran is at 254 Curtiss Pkwy. The program is free and open to the public.
