The city of Coral Gables and the Coral Gables Merrick House Governing Board held a festive holiday party on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 8, at the historic home of city founder George Merrick.

Guests at the free open house and party enjoyed caroling, a visit from Santa, refreshments, face painting and other activities.

Members of the Coral Gables Garden Club adorned the Merrick House with spectacular floral decorations, a tradition they have kept for many years.
