I was watching a Lexus commercial expounding on the merits of the new Lexus ES150 and I remembered that an ES150 is also a model of a Gibson guitar, a catalog number crossover.
Channeling the spirit of Andy Rooney, I’ll declare that we’re drowning in esoteric alphabetical and numeric shorthand.
To demonstrate, pick some arbitrary letters and numbers and then Google it. More often than not you’ll come up with a commodity, and many times you’ll get doubles, for example Z14 is a cologne and a foldable piano stand. But the real fun part is when you put your initials and age together. Last year I was a rivet gun or a crystal champagne flute; this year, I’m a mop holder that you screw into a wall.
