‘The Last Five Years’

 

Broadway star Janet Dacal (of ‘Wonderland’ and ‘In the Heights’) and actor Christopher A. Kent take on Jason Robert Brown’s challenging two-character musical ‘The Last Five Years’ beginning this weekend in an Actors’ Playhouse production at the Miracle Theatre. She plays an actress who tells the story of the couple’s romance from its end to its beginning; he’s a novelist who tells the same story from beginning to end. The show runs through Dec. 30 in the Balcony Theatre at the Miracle, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. Performances are 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday (additional matinee 2 p.m. Dec. 12). Tickets are $48 Friday-Saturday, $40 other shows (seniors get 10 percent discount, students get $15 rush tickets, excluding Saturday-Sunday). Call 305-444-9293 or visit www.actorsplayhouse.org.
