Cookbooks for good causes

 

The Kosher Cuisine Club of Chabad in Parkland reports it will donate proceeds from its new cookbook to Hurricane Sandy relief in New York and in New Jersey. Geared to cooks ages 5 to 18, the book costs $18 at 954-970-9551 or chabadofparkland.com.

Barbara Magro of Fort Lauderdale set out to preserve family food ways in Recipes to Remember: My Epicurean Journey to Preserve My Mother’s Italian Cooking from Memory Loss, the Sun Sentinel reports. A portion of proceeds from the $38.99 book benefits the Alzheimer’s Association’s South Florida chapter; recipestoremember.net.
